My last post promised an update on the school so I thought I’d share a few photos from the first few days of preschool at Siembra de Vida (Planting Life)

The first day was last Thursday and we had 6 students come for the first day.  It wasn’t many, but Ernestina was excited to start and the kids were so looking forward to the piñata hanging from the ceiling all morning that it was a great start to the school year!

Ernestina started the year with a Creation unit (the picture on the right is her telling the story of Creation with the animal finger puppets)

We took the kids on a walk around the school showing them where everything is and stopped at the pavilion for a couple of name games.

 Abigail 🙂

We also went on a nature walk and looked for rocks to decorate as paper weights, which Ernestina was able to turn into a lesson on how strong God is and having a strong foundation in Him.

And finally it was time for the piñata!

My involvement at this point is going once a week, so I look forward to seeing the kids grow and learn and change week-to-week.  They’re just so darn cute!  Join us in praying for each little darling – Stefani, Yasareli, Eliezar, Gabriel, Abigail, Liliana – as the school year continues; that the seeds being planted now will blossom as they continue to learn and see God in their day-to-day and they will be able to look back at Siembra de Vida as an foundational point in their personal walk with Christ.

Until next time…

Much love!
