Even though every time my leaving in May comes up and I respond “but we’re not talking about that quite yet” it is obviously something I’m having to face.  These last couple of months have been a tricky game of balance and, honestly, it’s been hard.  Nicaragua has become a home to me.  But Denver will soon be my home again.  So, I’m balancing between my two worlds and trying to “end well”.

With that, my last post I shared a few things I was wanting to focus on as I “ended well” and The Lord has so beautifully provided opportunities to see that through.

Valentine’s Day Addys and I took about 15 kids from Maria Elena and Fernanda’s family to the lake and spent the afternoon with them playing in the water and building sand castles.  It was so fun and now my Nica niece, Marina, asks me every time I see her if we’re going to the “beach”.  🙂

Also in the last couple of months we’ve seen the first classroom of Siembra de Vida sprout up in Pantanal and Ernestina, Sarah and I have been doing what we can to get the ground work taken care of to start classes on…

March 12!!

This was the reason I came down.  And we all know God has far better plans for us so my time didn’t look quite like I thought it would as far as the school goes, but we’ve arrived and what a blessing to be able to be here and see the first classroom go up and work alongside Ernestina as we enroll the first students and plan and coordinate with Sarah as we get the classroom ready and supplies bought!

So yesterday was the Parent Meeting where parents came to fill out applications and sign up their children.  Friday will be enrollment and next Thursday will be the first day of school!  Now over the next couple of weeks we’ll be getting the class list together, preparing the classroom with materials (I’m really excited for this!) and planning for the first couple days/weeks of class.

Stay tuned and I’ll keep everyone posted in the next few weeks with how things are developing with the little darlings of Siembra de Vida! 🙂

Until next time…

Much love!
