I’ve had a hard time journaling lately and keeping up with everything that’s going on, everything that God is doing in me and around me, and for me, that’s hard.  I like to have words to make sense of what I’m feeling and express what I see or think, but I also know that’s God working because then it’s only Him that gets the glory and not anything of me.  So, the following are all things that God has beautifully pieced together in my little world and I love that all of them totally depend on His promises of faithfulness and glory, even in my uncertainties.

In one day we had 8 baptisms and 5 weddings, 6 of the people who got married were of those baptized!

I’ve had the opportunity to get to know some of the women who were baptized and married from the discipleship class we started a few months ago and it’s been beautiful to hear their hearts seeking after The Lord and to see their lives be transformed by their obedience.

We have since had more baptisms, including some long time El Puente members – Berta and Mauricio!

A water purification project also began a few months ago by a couple down here – Natalie and Stephen – who got a team of us together to go out, distribute the bags, and collect information on how well they work.  The families were so excited to try these out and we were excited to get the time to spend with them.  It’s still in the early stages, but all seems to be going well…so well that a new bible study started of it!

This is the family we’re doing the bible study with now from the Puralytics project!  They have been on my heart since I met them, as I got to know them through the Kid’s Program we did last year.  They were so faithful in participating in everything we did and have become dear friends.

We’ve since celebrated birthdays and welcomed a sweet baby girl into this world with this family!  Meet Nathaly Mercado Manzananes, daughter of Lillian and Angel.

(She is 1 day old here – 7.5 lbs – Born: April 2, 2014)

Lastly, and the most recent addition, is a new feeding program in Pantanal that my friend Ernestina started.  Last week she invited 20 kids to her mom’s house to feed them lunch and has the goal of eventually making into an educational/feeding program where she will teach bible lessons and do pre-school prep activities.  As you all can imagine, I am beyond excited to help her with this and can’t wait to see what God does!

Clearly there is a lot going on down here and I feel so blessed to be apart of everything that I am right now.  God is moving and working in big ways.  Keep praying that His glory is seen and continues to become deeply rooted in the people’s hearts of Granada.

Until next time…

Much love!
